not all garbage ends up at the dump. a river, sewer or beach can't catch everything the rain washes away, either. in fact, earth's largest landfill isn't on land at all. my international studies class just got through with a section where we had to watch a short video appropriately named "plastic ocean". there isn't a single area of the ocean that isn't completely plastic-free.
what kind of world do we live in where we can't respect what we're given? the earth isn't ours, it doesn't simply "belong" to us. please learn to take better care of it.
